About Coastal Roasters

Buena Beans coffee is craft roasted in small batches by Coastal Roasters in Tiverton, Rhode Island.

Coastal Roasters has been craft-roasting coffee since 2002 in its waterfront shop in Tiverton Rhode Island, with the simple mission to connect its community to the circle of Crop to Cup. They do so by focusing on the three essential principles of freshness, quality and equality.

Freshness: Coffee is roasted daily in small batches, by hand and with personal care.

Quality: Beans are carefully selected to make the best cup of coffee.

Equality: With freshness and quality as absolute criteria, Coastal Roasters endorses and supports the principles that the farmers responsible for such full flavor are treated with respect and dignity, paid living wages for their product, and engage in environmentally friendly and sustainable practices. Coastal Roasters promotes this same philosophy in all of its business relationships: hoping to further the success of local and small-business partners, reinvesting in the community as responsible business leaders, and having minimum impact on our environment.

Coastal Roasters has been recognized for its efforts by the Specialty Coffee Association of America, Fresh Cup magazine, Yankee Magazine, the Boston Globe Travel section, Rhode Island Monthly, and the Providence Phoenix for its coffee, commitment to causes and contributions to quality coffee in our area.
